The Hot Topic at ViVE 2023? Personalization in Healthcare.

Hey there, healthcare enthusiasts! I'm excited to tell you all about my experience at the 2023 ViVE conference in Nashville, TN.

Let's start with the basics—the conference was huge! There were tons of vendors and healthcare systems in attendance, and the crowds were absolutely buzzing with energy. It was amazing to see so many passionate individuals gathered in one place to share ideas and knowledge about healthcare.

Of course, as an attendee representing Gozio Health, I was particularly interested in seeing how our booth would do. It was inspiring to see how many people were excited about our company's mission to make healthcare more accessible through mobile technology.

But beyond that, I was struck by the continued discussion around the need to care for hospital staff. Burnout is a real issue in the healthcare industry, and it was heartening to see so many people advocating for solutions that would make their jobs easier and reduce the strain they face.

Personalizing the mobile experience was a big topic. In the session, “Make Healthcare Easy on Me,” Karen Hanlon from Highmark Health said it best. “You need people to engage, and for that to really work it has to be personal.” Creating different experiences for different end users is key. Imagine patients on different care journeys such as Labor and Delivery, Oncology, or Orthopedics receiving a mobile experience tailored to that journey. Or how different information is relevant for patients, families, or staff. Right now, there is no “silver bullet” that will solve all these challenges for all the different people and hospitals out there, but we are certainly moving in that direction.

In a recent interview, Michael Saad, chief information officer, University of Tennessee Medical Center, Knoxville, also reinforced this idea of customizing experiences. “The pandemic surely accelerated this move to more targeted digital offerings, but the healthcare industry is absolutely headed to personalized digital care and support.”

Imagine a mobile native platform that empowers hospitals to customize their mobile offerings to improve the healthcare experience and make it more efficient and effective for both staff and patients.

Overall, ViVE 2023 was an incredible experience. The energy and enthusiasm of the attendees was contagious, and it was a privilege to be a part of the conversation around the future of healthcare. Here's to more exciting developments in the years to come!
