The September 2018 report details reasons healthcare CIOs choose Gozio for complex multi-building hospital campuses
Gartner recently recognized Gozio Health as a Cool Vendor in Location Services for Wayfinding. Noting that patients expect the same intuitive, reliable and accurate turn-by-turn navigation experience within a building or on a campus as they do when driving or being outdoors, Gartner recommends healthcare CIOs evaluate new and innovative wayfinding technologies that don’t require any interaction with the enterprise infrastructure.
Gartner analyst Tim Zimmerman reports that Gozio’s hospital mobile wayfinding platform is cool because:
“The geomagnetic signature of any building creates a unique fingerprint that is the basis for Gozio Health’s mobile wayfinding solution. This indoor location technology does not require
availability of, or access to, a network infrastructure that extends the solution to areas where there is no network connectivity. Gozio Health provides complete wayfinding and patient engagement solutions for healthcare organizations that provide turn-by-turn directions for patients, doctors, nurses and administrators. The solution uses an autonomous robot named “Magellan” to roam through the facility to collect the geomagnetic signatures as part of the mapping and building definition process. The end-user application not only provides indoor location services, but also integrates with Waze or any other mapping application to get patients to the campus and then directs them to an appropriate parking deck.
Gozio Health is also cool because it eliminates the initial complexity of site surveys, creating maps and application development. It also provides the ongoing management of beacons, changing building environments, smartphone updates and new application requirements, by offering the end-to-end solution as a managed service.”
In two Hype Cycle reports published September 2018, Gartner analysts noted that experiential wayfinding is no longer considered “nice to have” for healthcare systems. Experiential wayfinding is now an essential tool for delivering a superior end-to end patient experience and operational optimization.
